Matariki ki Waitangi 2026

Mānawatia a Matariki!

Matariki is a time to reflect, connect and celebrate with whānau as we celebrate another year. We invite you to join us to mark the occasion at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds with a koha open day on Sunday 12 July.

All tamariki will receive a Seek 'n’ Find activity during Matariki and the July School Holiday period.

See below for the full details.

Come and celebrate with us as we welcome the Māori New Year!
