Bay of Islands Shore Excursions
Haere Mai (Welcome) Cruise Passengers to the Bay of Islands!
Waitangi welcomes you on a journey of discovery through Aotearoa New Zealand's most important historic site. Often referred to as the Birthplace of the Nation, Waitangi is where Māori and the British Crown negotiated and signed The Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand’s founding document. Begin with an informative guided tour of the Grounds led by one of our local tour guides, experience a cultural performance of singing, poi, stick games, Māori weaponry, and of course the famous haka (war dance). Spend the rest of your time exploring our two world class museums, the Grounds, heritage buildings, our gift shop and our onsite café (Whare Waka Café) for the full Waitangi experience.
