Traditional Māori Games Activity Day

tamataiki

Our Education team are holding a traditional Māori games activity day on Wednesday 24 April from 10am to 3pm on the upper treaty grounds lawn.

The session will be hosted by leading expert/author in the traditional Māori games field Harko Brown. Harko brings with him a wealth of knowledge about the physical, emotional and social functions of these pastimes and games, which use simple natural resources. The games day is open to all ages, children and adults and will be themed around games peace protocols, ‘he rongonui aroha’.
The day will involve fun, exciting activities, which are designed to encourage team and confidence building.

Please note all children will need to be accompanied by an adult.
